Pediatric Chiropractic in Clairemont
Gentle chiropractic for infants, kids, and teens, with technique calibrated to age. Walk in any day, no referral.
What We Treat
Conservative care for the everyday strains that affect kids and teens.
Posture & Backpack Strain
Heavy backpacks, long school days, and hours on screens leave growing spines stiff and rounded forward. Care addresses the postural habits early, before they become symptoms.
Developmental Milestones
Learning to walk, hitting growth spurts, and adapting to new motor skills all place new demands on the spine. Gentle chiropractic adjustments support balanced motion through each milestone.
Sports & Playground Injuries
A soccer collision or a hard landing can create movement compensations that linger. We help young athletes recover fully before those patterns set in.
Recovery From Falls & Tumbles
Kids fall constantly. Most resolve on their own. The ones that don't can leave subtle restrictions in how a child sits, sleeps, or moves. An assessment finds them early.
Teen Sports & Training Stress
Student athletes carry adult-level training stress in developing bodies. Care manages the stiffness and strain of long seasons so the season holds up.
Check-Ins as They Grow
Plenty of visits here are check-ins, not injuries. From crawling through the teen years, periodic care supports comfortable movement, the same approach behind our family chiropractic care.
Your Child's Care Is Personal Here
Kids have been part of Stein Chiropractic since the practice opened in 1991. Dr. Yossi Stein learned pediatric technique from its founder, Dr. Richard Stein. The light contact, the patience, the time it takes for a child to settle on the table.
Before chiropractic, Dr. Stein worked as an EMT and ski patroller. Today, many of his pediatric patients are the kids of patients he treated years ago.
Pediatric Care Often Starts With Mom
Many of the families seen here start during pregnancy with prenatal chiropractic care and continue through postpartum, newborn, and the years that follow.

How We Treat Pediatric Patients
The three techniques behind most pediatric visits.
Chiropractic Adjustments
For children, adjustments are far gentler than an adjustment on an adult. The contact is precise, the technique is matched to age, and the goal is restoring joint motion without strain on developing tissue.
Joint Mobilization
Sustained, gradual movement used to improve mobility through restricted areas. Well-suited to younger patients when a full adjustment is not yet appropriate, and to teens with training-related stiffness.
Active Release Technique (ART)
A targeted soft tissue technique for the restrictions that come with repetitive activity and growth. Useful for teen athletes, and for new moms continuing postpartum chiropractic care alongside their kids.
Understanding Pediatric Chiropractic Care
Pediatric chiropractic addresses how a child's body adapts through growth: movement, posture, and the physical stresses of school, sport, and play. A 2024 randomized controlled trial found adolescents with low back pain improved more when spinal manipulation was added to an exercise program than with exercise alone.
For parents who want specifics before a first visit, our guide to what pediatric chiropractors actually do walks through care at each age, from infancy to the teen years.
Care, Backed by Research
When age-appropriate technique is used by trained chiropractors, the published record is strong and the math is straightforward.
3 / 5,438
Reported adverse events
Across 5,438 visits to 577 children in the largest pediatric chiropractic safety survey, three adverse events were reported. All were brief soreness that resolved on its own.

Stein Chiropractic has cared for families across generations. Pediatric patients have been a steady part of the practice from the beginning.
Stein Chiropractic, ClairemontWhat to Expect
A first visit starts slow. Infants and young toddlers are often assessed on a parent's lap, parents stay in the room at every age, and nothing begins until your child has settled. Dr. Yossi Stein explains what he finds in plain language before any care starts.
Real Families. Real Stories.
Trust earned across generations.

"Our family firmly believes in chiropractic wellness — my kids have been adjusted since they were infants — and just now I've been going for nerve pain in my face from oral surgery. Who knew Dr. Stein could fix almost everything! Feeling so much better — thank you Dr. Stein!"
"This office is amazing! Both Dr. Stein and Dr. Yossi Stein are truly caring! The adjustments are extremely comfortable and efficient at finding the source of my headaches and sciatica. They have a gift for simplifying what's happening so I can understand perfectly! This is an office I will be bringing my family and kids!"
