Dr. Yossi Stein
Second-generation chiropractor. Surfer. Former EMT and ski patroller.
Meet Dr. Yossi Stein
Dr. Yossi Stein is a chiropractor in Clairemont, born and raised in San Diego, and the second generation to practice here. His father, Dr. Richard Stein, opened Stein Chiropractic in 1991. Yossi grew up around the work before making it his own.
He came to chiropractic through his own recovery. A serious injury at 22 gave him a patient's perspective that never left him, and consistent chiropractic care was what brought his mobility back. That experience set the course for everything since, including the way he treats athletes and active people today.
He still surfs, and his years in emergency medicine and mountain rescue shape how he works: calm, precise, and grounded in how the body actually performs under real conditions.
In the office he uses the Gonstead Technique, with the ArthroStim or Activator when a lighter, targeted input helps, and Active Release Technique for soft-tissue restrictions that adjustments alone do not resolve. He treats every patient himself.
My job is to keep you moving, strong, and doing what you love.
The Heart Behind My Practice
I believe care works best before something goes wrong. When people stay active, move well, and take their health seriously, the body holds up better, and recovers faster when life knocks it down.
That is how I think about chiropractic. Used consistently, it keeps the body adaptable, and an adaptable body is what carries you through a long, active life. It is also why I take a whole-body approach rather than chasing one symptom at a time.
Getting you out of pain is the start. Keeping you strong enough to chase your kids, train for the thing you signed up for, catch the morning session, and do the work that matters to you is the goal.
Honest Care, Every Visit
You will always get my honest read and the best care I have. I will tell you what is going on, what chiropractic can do for it, and how long it should take. And if you would be better served somewhere else, I will point you in the right direction.
It is a privilege to treat this community, including the veterans and service members who come through the door. However you found your way here, I am glad you did, and I will do right by you.
